One of favourite picnic spots in Vinkovci is Sopot – an archaeological park connected to the town centre by a 3-kilometre-long pedestrian-cycling path, which runs all the way along the Bosut River.
A beautiful, peaceful, and optimally long walk, perfect for filming the Bosut landscape at dusk. The picnic area itself includes six Sopot houses that were once built in the swamps, here along the Bosut River. The houses were reconstructed according to the findings of that site, and they were named Sopot after the culture to which they belonged. In Sopot, there is also a catering facility, a children’s playground and a beach volleyball court. After the houses, you can walk along the educational path Kanovci to Šokački stan, which represents authentic Slavonian architecture.
