Tourist Board Vinkovci is obliged to ensure the accessibility of its online location in accordance with the Act on Accessibility of Websites and Software Solutions for Mobile Devices of Public Sector Bodies of the Republic of Croatia (Official Gazette 17/19) of 23 September 2020., which transposes into national legislation the Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.

Inaccessible content

Exceptions to compliance are reflected in the following:

  • some images and files do not have an appropriate text description (alt text) associated with them
  • there are some images that have textual content and are not logos
  • there is no possibility to change the contrast using the link on the page
  • there is no possibility to increase/decrease the font size using the link on the page
  • there is no option to change the font type for easier readability for users with dyslexia
  • access to individual sections of the submenu is partial and via the keyboard is partially possible
  • some of the documents in .pdf format are not readable for screen readers because they are available in an image format that screen readers cannot read
  • pdf files open in a new window (tab) of the browser, and .doc and .ppt files are only available as downloadable files
  • some links is not underlined

Raising the level of accessibility

Tourist Board Vinkovci continues to constantly improve the accessibility of its websites and services so that people with certain disabilities, the elderly, or people with certain impairments in perception can use the websites without hindrance.

Despite our efforts to make the contents of the website www.visitvinkovci.com accessible, some contents may not yet be fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be the result of not finding or the current non-existence of the most appropriate and optimal technological solution.

In the further upgrade of the website www.visitvinkovci.com, recommendations for improving accessibility will be implemented and efforts will be made to raise the level of accessibility as much as possible.

Procedure for monitoring the implementation of regulations

Supervision of the implementation of the Act on Accessibility of Websites and Software Solutions for Mobile Devices of Public Sector Bodies (Official Gazette 17/19) is carried out by the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Croatia.

Inspectors and other authorized officials of the Commissioner’s Office carry out inspection supervision of the implementation of the Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Software Solutions for Mobile Devices of Public Sector Bodies (Official Gazette 17/19).

The provisions of the Law on the Right to Access to Information (Official Gazette 25/13 and 85/15) are applied to supervision.
