The market in Vinkovci is open every Wednesday and Saturday and sells only local Slavonian food products. In summer and autumn, the products offered are extremely rich and represent great value for money. As food souvenirs of this region, you can bring home-made Slivovitz (šljivovica), Williams pear brandy (viljamovka) or other high-quality brandy, and you also can’t go wrong with homemade kulen, sausage or bacon. If you still haven’t – you should definitely try young cheese (podlijevani sir), a delicacy of this region.
